One year older and wiser too...

It has been quite a while since an update. Kyler had his 3rd Birthday this year and I can't believe how grown up he is becoming. Karissa just turned one and has been walking since she was about 10 months old she can now run after Kyler. We had a fun summer we visited family in Fresno, California, Newport Beach, and Disneyland. Kyler had soooo much fun at Disneyland we may have to take him back soon :) Kyler is the best three year old however he still gets himself into trouble most of the time he is just trying to help though, he thinks he can do things all by himself with no help and he only hears what he wants (he remind me alot of myself)! We are all very excited for Santa to come and visit us this year, Kyler says he has been very good.

We are getting ready to start the building on our home, just getting the plans and details final. It feels sooo close yet not close enough but I can do it. We wish all of you a Merry Christmas and hope that your Holidays are fantastic!!!

The Newest Addition

We want to welcome the newest addition to our little family. Karissa Ashley Shelton was born November 3, 2009 She was 7 lbs. 10 oz and 21 inches long. She is almost 3 months and is at 23 inches long and weighs almost 12 lbs. We love having her in our family her little spirit has been wonderful in our home. Her big brother Kyler loves "his baby Karissa" and gives her tons of hugs and kisses.

Kyler is 2 and loves to make messes and play with his toys he is learning to use the potty this has been quite the adventure but does good most of the time with bribery. I am waiting anxiously for softball to start I think I have "cabin fever" I would just like the warm weather so I can take my cute kids outside without worries of getting sick. Rob has graduated with his bachelors in finance and gets to walk on February 20 we are very excited for that. We are also new owners of a building lot to where our future house will be, our house is still for sale no luck yet so if anyone is interested let me know.

California

We just got home yesterday from our vacation to California, Rob had to drag me kicking and screaming back onto the airplane. We had loads of fun playing in the water and the sand at Balboa Island. I love to shop at the little shops in Balboa of course spending enough money but always wishing I would have got more. :)



The next day a four hour drive to Fresno to visit Rob's family was not fun of course I would have loved to stay at the beach but I can't be too selfish. I can't complain having someone cook for me while I sit in the pool five months pregnant, by the way for those who have not heard it is a girl.

Rob really likes to visit his family in Fresno it is the one time a year he gets so see some of his cousins and his grandma, so I guess even though it is not by the beach and it is really hot we make it work out the best we can.

Movies

Kyler and I went to the movies a couple of weeks ago. Lets just say this was Kyler's first and last time for a while anyway. As you can tell from the pictures he had a rough time. We had popcorn spread from one end of the row to the other, plus a few toys in between. Sitting on mom's lap was not an option for him, he is too independent sometimes. So I tried to sit him in his own seat but he was not big enough for it, the chair kept folding up on him. So for now Rob and I will just enjoy the movies by ourselves.

Happy New Year

Hello everyone and Happy New Year. This year has already started out crazy that is not a good sign. :) So Christmas was fun with Kyler this year he was really into the wrapping paper and the boxes just like everyone said he would be, but I thought he would have got into it a little bit more but there are many years of Christmas's to come. Since he received a ton of toys for his birthday in October all he got for Christmas was clothes which he needed, we thought we could get away with that this year because he didn't know what was going on. Rob and I made it for New Years but Kyler only got to about 9:30 or 10:00 but that is good for him since he is usually in his bed by 8:30. I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays. We can't wait for Valentines. :)

Halloween and One Year Photos

I decided since I am not quite on the ball I should put these two together. Halloween was a ton of fun this year with Kyler he loved getting candy from strangers but I am not sure how I feel about that. We decided to dress him up as a monkey this year and I think that it really fit his personality. At first when we were trying to get him ready he was not sure how much he really liked it but as soon as he started getting treats in his Elmo bucket nothing else mattered. He really has been enjoying his treats from his bucket :)

We just had his one year photos taken on Saturday which was a bad idea in my part, because he had just had his one year immunization shots the day before so he was not a happy little guy for his photos. But I got lucky this time by not being put in the photos but Rob did not get out so lucky I had to laugh because he laughed when I was put in last time. But he was very cooperative so thanks dad your the best.

Kyler's First Birthday

Today is Kyler's first Birthday we are so excited to have Kyler in our family and hope that he has a really good day! He had his Birthday party with his family yesterday where he was able to eat his cake. At first he did not know what to think it took a little persuading from Dad but in the end he really enjoyed his cake. Thanks to everyone who came or gave him a gift we really apppriciate it.
